After the first install of the Network File Monitor Professional it is time to choose
the way of its using: as an application or as a service. What''s the difference?
If you start Network File Monitor Professional as an application there is no difference from starting other applications.
Just select "Start executable" menu item.
Another option is to start Network File Monitor Professional as a service. Please note that only Windows NT/2000/XP
support services. Service is started by the operation system not by user. That''s why
turning on your computer and starting Windows is enough to start Network File Monitor Professional as service. To install
NFMPro service select "Install service" menu item, type your login name and password.
Attention: you must be an administrator or user with administrator''s rights to
install service.
So, what way is the most convenient for you? If you use Network File Monitor Professional from time to time there is no need to install service. If it is used regularly service is the best for you.
