File Replication Monitor can test operability of the remote computer and its availability via the network. To select this function, press Source type button and select Ping. The new settings window will appear.

ICMP settings

"Host account name" - enter address or symbolical name or IP address of the remote computer into this field: for example, www.file-monitor.com or 192.168.0.100. File Replication Monitor will interrogate the remote computer by the ICMP protocol.

If the Inaccessibility type of check is selected and the answers from the remote computer cease to come, the operations indicated in the task will be performed. Similarly, the event is generated when the Accessibility type of check is selected, and an ICMP check returns an answer from the remote computer.

"Account manager" button - click to open the Account Manager window.

"GO" [Test account] button - click to verify if the account parameters specified correctly. For the account validation other fields (such as port, user name, password, etc.) of the selected account must be filled with required values as well in the Account Manager.
