Extension allows to send SMS messages via smartphones with Android OS version 2.1 and above.
In order to send SMS messages your smartphone shall be permanently connected to your network via Wi-Fi, USB or Bluetooth.
Before setting up SMS options please ensure that your smartphone is properly configured:
| 1. | Download 'Client for AnyFileBackup' application from Android Market or from our website and install it on your smartphone. |
| 2. | Enable WiFi, Bluetooth or cable network connection on the smartphone. |
| 3. | Launch 'Client for AnyFileBackup' application on the smartphone. |
| 4. | Top lines of the application screen show your smartphone IP address and port number. |
| 5. | Open 'Client for AnyFileBackup' application menu and press 'Settings' item: |
| 6. | Settings should be set up as follows: 'Port' - enter the port number as it was shown on the previous screen. 'User name' - enter any username. 'Password' - enter any password. 'Prevent device from sleeping' - after a certain period of inactivity your smartphone enters into power saving mode ('sleeps'). In this state it cannot interact with external devices and applications, including AnyFileBackup. Mark this option to disable the sleeping mode. Please note that this leads to faster battery discharge. We suggest that you connect your smartphone to external power supply.  |
| 7. | Press 'Return' smartphone button. Apply new settings by pressing 'Server start/stop' menu button. |
| 8. | Configure an SMS message action: - Select existing or create new phone account in account manager. - Select existing or create new host account for smartphone in account manager. Use the same host address, port, user name and password as you entered on your smartphone 'Settings' screen (see item 6 above). |
