The Common tab contains parameters and settings regarding the whole program:

Date and time format – you can change format of the date and time used in Network File Monitor Pro, by selecting the available templates. If none of the templates feet your requirements you can enter it manually (see Macro strings).

 

Language - the language of the program's interface and messages (see Interface translation chapter).

 

Lines in event list - for more efficient memory usage, enter the maximum number of lines displayed in the list of the events window.

 

Log file – path to the file with the program operation information. If this field is blank, the log file is not generated.

 

Event list level - you can select the type of the information shown in the  Network File Monitor Pro event list window. It influences on the event list detalisation:
Error - shows critical errors only
Warning - shows errors and warnings
Information - shows errors, warnings and information messages
Normal - shows all messages

 

Restricted access - check this box to restrict a Control Center user ability of task control and management. To select which option should be restricted press the access settings button next to the check box. To disable the restrictions enter a password selecting File -> Password menu items.

 

Hide after start – hide the Control Center window immediately after its start to the Windows tray. To restore the window click on the Network File Monitor Pro icon in the System Tray (see The main program window).

 

New button style - switches between the usual and flat style of buttons.

 

Autosave task changes - save changed task's parameters without confirmation dialog. It is possible to  disable autosave option temporary (until next run  of Network File Monitor Pro) using "Task" -> "Task autosave off" menu item.

 

Wizard mode - should the New Task Wizard be used to set up a new task.
 
Configuration file - a name of the file where the tasks settings are stored. After a new file is selected both the server module and Control Center will be stopped. Available in the registered version.
