Network File Monitor Pro has a possibility to test operability of the remote computer and its availability via the network. To select this function, press Source type button and select Ping. The new settings window will appear.

ICMP settings

Host address - enter address or symbolical name or IP address of the remote computer into this field: for example, www.file-monitor.com or 192.168.0.100. Network File Monitor Pro will interrogate the remote computer by the ICMP protocol.

If the Deleting type of check is selected and the answers from the remote computer cease to come, the operations indicated in the task will be performed. Similarly, the event is generated when the Creating type of check is selected, and an ICMP check returns an answer from the remote computer.

Use dial-up - if the Dial-up extension is used for accessing the Internet, mark this check box.
