For the first time we suggest you a simple test that helps you to understand the basic functions of Network File Monitor Pro. To execute this test you need to create two folders: C:\TMP and D:\TMP.

1.	Start the Network File Monitor Pro service (menu File->Server control->Start executable from Network File Monitor Pro Control Center).

The green light at the bottom bar of the main window indicates that the Main Module of program is started.

2.	Click menu Tasks->Add task. The New Task Wizard will start.

3.	On the first Wizard's page select the task Source:

•	Mark Folder item.

•	The settings window will open. Enter C:\TMP (for example) to the Include folders field, then press Save button. More about source settings you can read in the Source selection chapter.

•	Press Next button.

4.	On the Wizard's Backup type page select One-to many item and press Next button. More about backup types you can read in the Operationschapter.

5.	On the File operation Wizard's page select Copy item and press Next button.

6.	On the File replacement page select Always item and press Next button. More about file replacement you can read in the Operations chapter.

7.	On the Destination Wizard's page:

•	Press Folder button.

•	The settings window will open. Enter D:\TMP (for example) to the Path field, then press Save button. More about destination settings you can read in the Destinations chapter.

•	Press Next button.

8.	Skip the Actions selection Wizard's page and click the Next button. More about actions you can read in the Actions chapter.

9.	On the Schedule type Wizard's page:

•	Select Periodically item and press the Next button. More about schedule type you can read in the Schedule types chapter.

•	On the next screen you can modify the schedule or simply press the Next button.

10. Press Finish button on the next screen and close the task settings window.

11.	Copy any file (read.me for example) to C:\TMP folder.

12.	Then click on the menu Tasks -> Check now. Network File Monitor Pro will copy read.me from C:\TMP to D:\TMP. At the Event log page of main window you'll see record 'read.me created'.

13.	Delete C:\TMP\read.me and click menu Tasks -> Check now. Network File Monitor Pro will delete read.me from D:\TMP. At the Event log page of main window you'll see record 'read.me deleted'.

After this you can select source and destination from FTP, Mailbox, ping desired servers and check free disk space. For all of these events you can send notification by local area network messages or emails.
